I learned to notice the hard way.
For a long time I did what a lot of high achievers do. I pushed through and kept everything inside, and it worked for a while, until it didn't.
Learning to pay attention changed that. More than a decade of meditation and ten years of sitting across from people in hard conversations taught me to notice what's happening in me and around me before it turns into a problem. Running companies showed me how fast that attention disappears under load.
That's the work I do with leaders now. We slow down enough to see the signals you've been missing, and then we put them to use.
How I work
My coaching comes from the Gestalt tradition. I did advanced training at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, and I'm now completing an ICF-accredited coaching program at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, finishing in March 2027. In practice, we work with what's happening in the room as it happens. If your pace changes when a topic comes up, that's information, and I'll point to it.
I'm also a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, and about ten years of that work shaped how I listen. I notice small things, and I'm comfortable with silence and with conversations that get uncomfortable. Coaching has a different goal, and I bring that way of listening to it.

Why I added coaching
I've been building things my whole working life. Before the company I run now, I built two healthcare startups that didn't make it past launch. I know what a stalled launch and a short runway feel like, and what it takes to get the next one right.
Technology has been a passion of mine for forty years. These days I build my own systems and use AI tools every day. The leaders I want to work with are making big product and team bets while the ground shifts every few weeks. I know what I'm good at, and I think it can help them make those calls without losing their judgement along the way.
